An ancient system of medicine that treats the whole person body, mind and spirit. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, Five Element Acupuncture works to understand and address the deeper patterns beneath them.
Book a ConsultationOriginating in China over 2,000 years ago, Five Element Acupuncture understands ill health not simply as physical ailment, but as a signal of deeper imbalance often rooted in emotional and spiritual disharmony. Symptoms, in this tradition, are the body's way of communicating, rather than the root cause of what's wrong.
The Five Element practitioner's role is to identify the underlying pattern the Constitutional Factor and restore balance through acupuncture needles and moxibustion (gentle heat therapy). This approach recognises that physical symptoms, emotional difficulties, and a general sense of being out of tune with yourself all arise from the same source.
Rather than treating conditions in isolation, I work to understand you as a whole person: your body, your emotions, your history, your life. Every treatment is built around that understanding.
Five Element theory holds that all life is governed by five dynamic forces found in nature. Each person has a primary element their Constitutional Factor which shapes how they experience the world, and how imbalance tends to show up for them.
